Another reason I would choose KER is the class sizes. Frankie doesn’t take on big groups but rather smaller ones ensuring he can thoroughly teach and help us to understand. "After my portfolio was failed at another training centre I was extremely hesitant to start another ACS course. But after speaking with Frankie and Stevie I knew it was the correct training centre for me. The facilities at the centre are excellent.
The training I received at K.E.R training was exceptional, plenty of practical training which I feel is a must. No question was a silly question they’ve heard them all. The course isn’t easy but they stick with you until you understand it. They go through your portfolio (which is the hardest part) with you, mark any mistakes before being send off for certification . Something the previous centre didn’t do.
After completing my ACS in October I was in full time employment by November, which I have Frankie to thank for putting a good word in for me. Can’t speak highly enough of everyone at KER Training they actually care about getting you through the course."

I left 5 stars after my first meeting with Frankie to discuss the MLP course and look at the facilities. The 5 stars was for my thoughts on the facilities, price and initial discussion.
I'm now updating after completing the course 6 months on.
First off I want to say a massive thanks to Frankie and Chris who run the show at KER Training. I couldn't be happier after completing the ACS qualification to become a registered gas engineer. The facilities are brilliant and more equipped than other training centres which I visited.
The training centre has a great range of equipment to gain hands on experience when in the workshop. The classrooms and theory based learning was second to none. Frankie has a great way of making the influx of new information interesting and easier to remember. Chris is very knowledgeable and always at hand to answer any question asked (no matter how stupid sometimes).
We had several trainers from different manufacturers coming in to help us along the way with different skill bases who were all great with us. Frankie also set us up on placements (those who needed them) so we could meet the required on the jobs hours and criteria for our portfolios. Towards the ends the guys even offered to give up some days on their weekends for me to go into the centre if needed. You can't really ask for much more tbh.
Classroom sizes are great, 6-8 max so nobody is left behind when learning. Elaine in the office was brilliant as well. Just a really good team and I'm extremely glad I came here. The overall price is miles better than its competitors and the training is too (a relative went to another centre and he specifically recommend KER Training as oppose to the one he qualified at).
If you are considering making a change of career to this sector then I highly recommend giving KER Training a call.

"I have just completed a 6 month full time MLP gas engineering course. After visiting a few training centres around Glasgow, Nothing compared to the facilities at KER Training.
There is a wide variety of combi boilers and gas appliances to work on from hot air units - Air to heat units - Commercial appliances - Filter systems - Gas hobs and cookers - Instantaneous water heaters - Back boilers - DFE fires - Radiant gas fires and many more.
We got to work on a wide variety of combi boilers from the different manufacturers including Navien and Worcester. We had multiple visits from different manufacturers also to tell us about their products and show us hands on what they can do.
KER Training also has many experienced engineers available for your placement who cover every aspect of heating from repairs, services, installs and plumbing.
I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the course start to finish. Frankie and Chris are extremely knowledgeable Trainers with many many years of experience within the industry. I can't thank them enough for pushing and helping me throughout, to become a qualified gas engineer.
This certainly won't be the last time that I'll be using KER training for any further courses. Thanks again for all your help.

"I recently completed a 6 month Managed Learning Programme at KER Training and can’t thank them enough for all the help and support they gave me during my time with them. You won’t find a training centre as impressive as KER Training in Scotland, they have every resource you need and then some, if they don’t have it they get it.
However impressive the training centre was, what was even better were the trainers. Frankie and Chris made my experience what it was, you won’t find a team with more knowledge of the gas industry than both of them.
My time at KER Training was varied with in class training, workshop training and out on placement which was provided for me by the centre. This allowed me to gradually complete my portfolio then ask questions when I was back in the training centre. If there was anything I was unsure of whilst out on placement they helped me to understand it.
My personal experience was that I was due to start the course right at the start of the first lockdown in April 2020, Frankie contacted me and kept me informed throughout this period and once things started to reopen invited me to start the course along with others, however I was unable to start at that time for personal reasons and Frankie was excellent and really supportive, he arranged for me to start at a later date.
I am now going to use my newly gained qualifications to go self employed which I would never have thought was possible if it wasn’t for the training and support from Frankie and Chris. "I can't thank KER Training enough. I am so happy I did my training here. They don't just throw books at you and leave you alone, they help you step by step. One thing for me was being sat in a class, which just wasn't for me. There were practical classes aswell which motivated me more.
Frankie is an amazing professional. He is highly intelligent and very friendly too. He helped me through everything and would always know when some of us needed to get into the practical class to give us an extra boost of energy.
The facilities at this centre are amazing, they have a wide range of different gas products to help the students learn more. The course is tough and you do have to put your time in at the centre and at home, but what helps is having a teacher who helps and motivates you.
This course is worth every penny, what you would learn in a class of more than 20 people and in KER Training is very different.

"From my initial email to enquire about the course I was contacted promptly and welcomed round to visit the centre and have a chat with Frankie and discuss what would be involved in becoming a qualified Gas Engineer. Frankie showed me around the training centre and gave me an overview of what would be involved on the course as well as going out on work placement.
Coming from a financial services background and looking for a change in career I know this was the right decision for me after having a discussion with Frankie and seeing what the training centre had to offer. The training facilities and ongoing support was able to help me on my journey to becoming a qualified gas engineer which catered to all aspects of the course material. As well as the detailed training and practical work we had regular training days with other companies such as Worcester, Navien and Adey which gave us a better insight to breakdowns, being able to strip out the parts and ask any questions.
In all aspects of the training as well as being out on placement any questions I had, Frankie would always take the time to discuss over the phone or when I was back in the class to ensure my understanding was correct.
During the current Covid-19 pandemic the centre was always well maintained to a high standard to ensure the course could still continue. All the proper government guidelines where followed as well as ensuring the centre was clean at all times.

"Attended KER Training in the spring, to obtain my gas safety certificates and qualifications.
Sadly, due to the Corona virus pandemic the training centre had to close down for a few weeks during my course. I was slightly uneasy about how safe it would coming into the training centre at this time. However, Frankie made adjustments to the timetable, which allowed me to return when I felt comfortable as well as putting safety measures in place.
The course itself, covers all aspects required to work safely with gas when out on the job. The practical elements within the training centre are fantastic as they are set up in such a way, that all scenarios are covered. Any questions you have are answered clearly and in detail and no question is a stupid one.
Throughout my time at the training centre, I was always made to feel comfortable and supported. The facilities provided onsite are great and the centre itself has been designed to put all individuals attending, into a modern and realistic working environment.
Frankie was always available to reach via phone or email, seven days a week and Elaine was always available to answer any emails in a helpful and supportive manner.
