Renewables, Refrigeration, Heating Design and F-Gas Qualification Courses

Air Source and Ground Source Training courses

With the growing emphasis on renewable energy and sustainable technologies, the demand for skilled professionals in the installation and maintenance of heat pumps has risen significantly.  Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pumps represent two key technologies in the shift towards reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency.

Training courses for these systems are essential in equipping Engineers with the knowledge and skills needed to meet industry demands.

F-Gas Cat I to Cat IV Training courses

Our F-Gas Training courses are designed to equip Engineers with the necessary skills and certifications to work safely with fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases) used in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps systems.  There are various options of courses available which cover key areas such as the safe handling of F-gases, leak detection, install, service, maintain, recovery, decommission and recycling processes and compliance with environmental regulations.

All our courses cover both theoretical and practical aspects and are held in our centre where the training is delivered using fully operational units delivered by our highly experienced Trainers who possess extensive industry knowledge and experience.

Low Temperature Heating and Hot Water Systems in Dwellings

The objective of this qualification is for learners to be upskilled to the concept of low temperature heating systems.

It will allow them to demonstrate their knowledge of the need and requirements for installing low temperature heating and hot water systems in dwellings.

Understanding the properties and use of flammable refrigerants in accordance with ACRIB specification (A2L, A2 and A3)

This qualification provides professional development for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump (RACHP) engineers involved in the application of flammable gases.

This short Level 3 nationally recognised regulated qualification approved by the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Board (ACRIB), will enable the RACHP professional engineer to gain a better understanding of Health & Safety regulations applicable to the safe use of flammable refrigeration gasses when planning, installing, commissioning and decommissioning of RACHP equipment.

    Barry Ferguson

"Cannot rate KER Training highly enough.  Highly experienced enthusiastic training staff, very efficiently run, and backed up with a modern well kitted facility. Completed the 4 day F-Gas training and left with sufficient depth of knowledge and understanding to now work on the refrigerant side of the heat pumps we have been installing over the last decade. Will definitely return for any future training needs. 5 stars."

    Imran Ali

"Frankie has been instrumental to helping me get qualified with his vast knowledge and experience of the field, also his detailed teach methods whereby not telling us answers to questions we have but getting us to think about again or taking us down to the training room with its vast range of appliance to work on and learn from."

    Gareth Docherty

"After speaking with Frankie and Stevie I knew it was the correct training centre for me. The facilities at the centre are excellent. The training I received at KER Training was exceptional, plenty of practical training which I feel is a must. No question was a silly question, they’ve heard them all. The course isn’t easy but they stick with you until you understand it. They go through your portfolio (which is the hardest part) with you, and mark any mistakes before being send off for certification"

    Wayne Bell

"Frankie is true professional who has an incredible depth of knowledge as well as a true gift with teaching and communicating. The course covered a lot but we never felt pressured or overwhelmed by it. All three of us gained a huge amount of knowledge and experience over the four days. Nothing was too much trouble, there was always time to ask as many questions as we needed to and the help we received was second to none."

    Danielle Durrans

"Thank you to Frankie and the team. I have to say the training was exceptional. Frankie pitches the training at just the right level, with clear explanations and guidance, making subjects which are quite complicated enjoyable to learn. Well done."

    Warren Price

"For me KER Training definitely was the right choice to complete the Gas Managed Learning Program. I took the part time course with little prior experience. Frankie and the team were honest and helpful from the start and made every effort to facilitate me through the training and the getting work placements along the way."

    Scott Galloway

"First class training, I would highly recommend to anyone. But for business owners I have found them excellent in not only the personal training but what they can offer your business and the willing to work around your commitment’s. Won’t look past them now. Thanks for your continued help Frankie & Elaine"

    Thomas Grundy

"I have just completed a 6 month full time MLP gas engineering course. After visiting a few training centres around Glasgow, nothing compared to the facilities at KER Training. They have many experienced engineers available for your placement who cover every aspect of heating from repairs, services, installs and plumbing. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the course start to finish."
